Venetian plaster is not only known for its beautiful and luxurious finishes, but also for its practical and sustainable properties.
Venetian plaster has been used for centuries to add an elegant feel to any space. The finishes range from smooth, and shiny to a heavily textured finish, that creates a unique aesthetic appeal.
Crafted from Mother Earth
It is a sustainable choice for the environmentally conscious. Made without chemical additives, Venetian plaster is composed of raw and natural materials, such as lime and selected marble powders. These ingredients are non-toxic and do not produce any harmful emissions, making Venetian plaster a safe and eco-friendly option for both residential and commercial spaces.
The raw compositions and textured finishes of our products evoke a sense of feeling of being surrounded by the serenity of nature. Similar to the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright who was an architectural pioneer in integrating nature with architecture, through his connection between the man-made environment and the natural world. Our products reflect the same essence of bringing the outdoors into a pleasant living space.
Ability to breathe
One of the key natural properties of Venetian plaster is its breathability. The natural materials offer protection against mould and bacteria, making it ideal for selected interior and exterior applications, which are dependent on the type of Venetian plaster you choose.
A look into our traditional finishes
Intonachino is an Italian lime-based plaster that provides a textured yet smooth finish. Intonachino derives from the Italian word Intonaco meaning final layer of plaster, this is generally used when referring to frescoes. Our traditional finishes range consists of three gain sizes: Intonachino Fine 400, Intonachino Classico 700 and Intonachino Grosso 1200. The Intonachino products are a timeless beauty of a traditional Venetian finish seen throughout Venice.
Our Intonachino is composed of a Lime Putty (Grassello), grinded marble and natural additives (no more than 5%), making it the purest product from our range.
Benefits from Nature
1. Regulator: Regulates the temperature and humidity within your home, saving on heating and cooling while also reducing your home’s environmental impact.
2. Natural Fungicide: Lime has disinfectant qualities as it resists the build-up of moulds and bacteria. This makes Lime Plaster an ideal material for your home, especially for those suffering from asthma.
3. Absorbs Co2: Lime plaster absorbs CO2 from the air, and over time it will naturally turn back into limestone. Strengthening the product over the years.
4. VOC: Lime plasters are ultra-low to 0 VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds).
