Calce Company was founded by an Australian-Italian family in the coastal city of Wollongong. Passionate about bringing the latest European finishes into Australian homes and commercial buildings.

The origins of Plaster dates back to thousands of years, using lime and gypsum. Until two venetian architects rediscovered and improved Venetian Plaster in order to find a solution for the crisis Venice was facing with the weight of the marble sinking buildings into its notorious marshes. They developed the product by introducing resins and other components to enhance its qualities, making it more flexible and durable. The original showroom is still visible in Venice today, at the Olivetti shop near the Piazza San Marco.

With other modernised alternatives such as microcement and decorative finishes, these materials have enhanced the visionary design possibilities for architects, designers, and homeowners.
